Amid the political turmoil, racial tensions, and global pandemic, it is difficult to know what lies ahead. For us young adults, this uncertainty makes it feel almost impossible to imagine what a November election will look like.

New Young Fellows Join FCNL

Seven new young adults joined FCNL staff as the 2020-2021 Young Fellows. During their fellowship, they will work as program assistants with FCNL staff to build their advocacy expertise.

Summer Internship

FCNL’s summer internship experience is ideal for people ages 18-23, but some older participants have found it to be meaningful as well. Experiences vary depending on what projects are going on at the FCNL office. Participants should arrive expecting to engage in a variety of tasks.

The program assistant fellowship is a paid fellowship opportunity to work with key staff members at FCNL to build expertise in advocacy from a public interest perspective.

Advocacy Corps FAQ

The Friends Committee on National Legislation (FCNL) is looking for young adults 19 – 30 to join a network of people who will be paid to mobilize their communities to influence members of Congress. Approximately 20 applicants will be selected to take part in the year-long program, which will kick off with a 10-day Summer Intensive Training in August in Washington, DC. Participants will receive a stipend of $3,500 contingent upon their work.

As an Advocacy Corps organizer, you’ll connect local activists and leaders with your members of Congress to affect big, long-term change. You’ll also learn critical organizing skills and put them into practice with hands-on leadership experience.
