My name is Daren Caughron, and I’m pleased to be FCNL’s new legislative manager for Sustainable Energy and Environment. For this month’s edition of Inside the Greenhouse, I wanted to take the opportunity to introduce myself and our new program assistant, Carla Montilla, and ask for your feedback on how our climate team can best engage with you in a short survey below.

Legislative Manager, Sustainable Energy and Environment
Prior to FCNL, I worked with Bread for the World on global climate and hunger policy. Before then, I was a Scoville Fellow at FCNL on the Peacebuilding team.
I love the outdoors. I am the grandson of farmers and am deeply passionate about solving the climate crisis. As you know, this is the most urgent challenge we face, and it’s imperative that we continue to seek equitable solutions that deliver a just future for all. It is wonderful to be in community with you!
Carla Montilla
Program Assistant for Sustainable Energy and the Environment
Carla Montilla recently graduated from American University’s School of International Service with a master’s degree in Ethics, Peace, and Human Rights.
She comes to FCNL with a deep passion for peacebuilding and the prevention of climate-induced conflict. Knowing that climate change is one of the key drivers of instability in a warming world, her expertise and passion are an invaluable addition to the team.
