Bob has been working for years to cultivate the political will necessary to address climate change in Congress. His patient and tireless efforts paid off when his representative, Ann Kuster (D-NH), joined the bipartisan House Climate Solutions Caucus earlier this year.

Bob knew that Rep. Kuster cared about climate change, and probably wanted to do more to address this challenge. The Climate Solutions Caucus was a venue she could act through — if she could find a Republican to join along with her. (To maintain a bipartisan balance in the caucus, members join in pairs, one from each major party.)
Bob teamed up with friends in Colorado whose Republican representative, Mike Coffman (R-CO), was also interested in climate issues and had a respectful working relationship with Rep. Kuster. At one of Rep. Kuster’s tele-town hall meetings, Bob asked if she would partner with Rep. Coffman to join the Climate Solutions Caucus.
Soon thereafter, Rep. Kuster’s staffer let Bob know that these efforts had been successful. And he’s still at it. Prompted by this success, Bob is now asking his friends and relatives to get their Representatives to join the Climate Solutions Caucus.
