This story highlights the ongoing settler encroachment and the personal toll it takes on Palestinian families.

Speakers

Amira Musallam, Palestinian Christian peace advocate, Amira’s lifelong commitment to peace activism began in her youth after experiencing violence firsthand. She has actively engaged in peace dialogues and nonviolent resistance, including co-coordinating efforts against land seizures by Israeli settlers. Her work reflects a deep dedication to fostering nonviolent conflict resolution and community engagement.

Mel Duncan, co-founder of Nonviolent Peaceforce (NP), a world leader in unarmed civilian protection. NP’s nonviolent civilian protectors provide direct protection to civilians caught in violent conflict and work with local groups to prevent further violence and sustain peace in a variety of conflict areas including Sri Lanka, South Sudan, Ukraine, Iraq, the Philippines and the United States. Since retiring from NP last October, Mel has been working with a consortium to bring a team of unarmed civilian protectors to the Occupied Territories of Palestine.
