Gun violence is all around us in the United States. It takes lives in our schools, houses of worship, and theaters. Join us for a conversation with FCNL’s Director for Justice Reform José Santos Moreno and Peter Murchison, FCNL’s Friend in Washington. They will discuss how violence interrupters can help address gun violence and what other tools are necessary to change our country’s course. FCNL’s senior manager of the Young Adult Program, Larissa Gil-Sanhueza, will moderate this discussion.

The speakers will talk about the impact the House budget plan will have on individuals and communities across the country, pointing to how the proposal would take away nutrition assistance, health care, and housing assistance away from those who need it.

Saturday, March 25 will mark the eighth anniversary of the beginning of the Saudi-led coalition’s bombing of Yemen. To mark the occasion, a coalition of U.S. and international groups will hold an online rally to inspire and enhance education and activism to end the war in Yemen.

Hundreds of young adult advocates from around the United States brought a clear and compelling message to Congress: interrupt violence by investing in programs to make our communities safer!

FCNL’s Policy Committee has invited Friends to listen deeply in their communities around issues of reproductive health care, including abortion.
