This week, FCNL and our partners brought thousands of voices together calling for protections for Dreamers – the young immigrants who grew up in the U.S. without documentation.

Together, we visited congressional offices, made phone calls, sent videos and emails, attended events, and prayed. We stood with faith groups and partner organizations at the steps of the Capitol, reading the stories of Jose and Itzel, two young people in FCNL’s community who face uprooted lives if Congress doesn’t act. We called for Congress to step up to the moral call and pass the Dream Act before the end of the year.

Tune in below at 1:05 for FCNL staff sharing stories.

Stories are transformational in our lobbying work. The Dream Act was born out of undocumented youth sharing their stories, their heartbreak, their hopes, their triumphs, their fears, and their dreams for an equitable future in this country we call home.

We stand with Jose, Itzel, Maribel, Katherine, and millions more in calling on Congress to enact the Dream Act before years’ end.
