According to the latest U.S. Census Bureau report, released this week, the official poverty rate decreased from 12.7 percent in 2016 to 12.3 percent in 2017, now totaling 39.7 million people.

As the House Judiciary Committee debated the two articles of impeachment against President Donald Trump, we saw the settling gloom of congressional partisanship. Painful as this process is, the Friends Committee on National Legislation fully supports the impeachment process established by the U.S. Constitution.

By a vote of 53 to 45, the Senate disapproved the sale of bombs of the type that have been used in Saudi attacks against Yemeni civilians.
