Teresa Rugg supports new and prospective Advocacy Teams to launch and develop deep advocacy skills. Since 2004, Teresa has been immersed into the world of grassroots advocacy.
She is a leader in RESULTS – a national anti-poverty grassroots organization – starting as a grassroots advocate, and later taking on roles as a regional coordinator, new group recruiter/coordinator, and as a consultant on numerous advocacy campaigns. She is the Founder and Executive Director of TB Photovoice – a non-profit that is committed to giving a powerful voice to people affected by tuberculosis by sharing their images, stories and dialogue.
Teresa got her start in public service in the 1990s, serving in the Republic of Cameroon in the United States Peace Corps. Since then, she has committed herself to being of service to others, working as a consultant in health education, public education, and social justice.
