Molly McGinty is a senior at Salisbury University double majoring in Social Work and Gender & Sexuality Studies with a minor in Social Justice Studies. She is originally from Catonsville, Maryland where she first gained a passion for social justice across all intersections. At Salisbury, Molly is a board member of the Animal Rights Association, a member of the Philosophical Society, and a recent inductee of the Phi Alpha Social Work Honor Society.

In the Salisbury community, Molly is currently an intern for the Eastern Shore Human Trafficking Task Force. In this internship, she holds various leadership roles including advocating on the behalf of victims and survivors of human trafficking on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. Molly has gained experience in the Social Work field through an internship at Johns Hopkins Hospital’s Med-Surg Social Work Department. This internship allowed Molly to shadow staff members on their rounds and to research various community programs and medical care options. She looks forward to being able to use these internship experiences to bring a multi-faceted approach during her time as an Advocacy Corps organizer.

While working with fellow Advocacy Corps organizers and the FCNL staff, Molly looks forward to learning the most effective ways to challenge the militarization of the local Salisbury police department.
