Fatema is a current Teach for America educator, as well as manager of the scholarship project of Cross World Africa, Inc. She graduated from Florida State University with a bachelor’s degree in political science and international affairs. Fatema has a passion for international human rights and educational equity, which stemmed from a 2017 internship in Kenya.
When she is not teaching, she is logging in miles on her Strava account and training for marathons. In Fall 2021, Fatema plans to go to law school to pursue international human rights law and eventually work in the public sector.
