Emma Hulbert was FCNL’s 2021-2022 program assistant for Quaker Outreach. In this role, she organized Quakerism-inspired events and worked to increase Quaker engagement in FCNL’s work on Capitol Hill. She also worked to create long-lasting relationships between Quaker communities and FCNL, and strove to increase accessibility to national politics for Friends around the country.
Emma recently graduated magna cum laude from Skidmore College with a B.A. in political science and a minor in religious studies, and was a member of Pi Sigma Alpha, the national Political Science honor society. During college, Emma was heavily involved in local political organizing, assisting with a Charter Change campaign to modernize the city’s antiquated form of government, working on a campaign to elect a progressive candidate to the New York State Assembly, and co-running a campaign for the local board of education.
Emma is a lifelong attender of the Chapel Hill Friends Meeting in North Carolina, and is looking forward to attending the Friends Meeting of Washington.
