Dayana was the 2021-2022 Program Assistant for migration policy. In this role she worked to educate FCNL’s network and address immigration issues by developing legislative strategies, working in coalition with partners, and supporting constituent and Congressional relations. She strives to transform and work towards a just, inclusive, and humane U.S. immigration system.
Dayana has extensive experience as an advocate and organizer for immigrant rights. Over the past six years she has served as an FCNL Advocacy Corps member, led a New Mexico Dream Team chapter for Northern New Mexico College, and organized with United We Dream. As an experienced organizer, a DACA recipient, and a first-generation college graduate, she is committed to working for just immigration reform and universal human rights.
Dayana recently graduated from Northern New Mexico College with a B.A. in Integrated Studies and Psychology. She hopes to pursue a professional degree in Immigration Law. She is from Espanola, NM.
