The United States needed police reform long before the murder of George Floyd, and it’s past time Congress takes action. Are you ready to keep working? Please join FCNL’s young adult program for a webinar on June 30 and learn how you can talk to your legislators about the issue of police brutality and reform.
According to the website Mapping Police Violence, there were only 27 days in 2019 when police did not kill someone, and Black people were 24 percent of the people killed, despite making up only 13 percent of the population.
Young adults and community leaders are taking action now. Whether it’s lobbying on the issue, holding candidates accountable at the polls, or continuing to take direct action, let’s learn from each other and work together to address police brutality in the United States.
Register to join the conversation on June 30 at 8:00 p.m. EDT.
