Spring Lobby Weekend 2012

From March 17-20, people from around the country are converging on Washington, DC to lobby for a responsible end to the U.S. war in Afghanistan and cuts in the Pentagon budget.

This weekend is a unique opportunity for people, particularly young people, to come to Washington, gain training in lobbying and policy issues, learn about FCNL, and lobby representatives and senators. See updates on the events taking place right now!

FCNL Statement of Legislative Policy

"Although national security is widely perceived to depend on military strength, more weapons do not provide enduring security. Military expansion provokes fear and potential retaliation.

We support active non-violent responses to prevent or transform violent conflict at all levels.

The United States should develop and support nonmilitary assistance programs in partnership with appropriate international and independent non-governmental organizations."
