FCNL
Kathy Coe
Kathy Coe, a retired musician, journalist, community organizer, and pastor of Jamestown (NC) Friends Meeting, is a relatively new face at FCNL. She is pleased to be one of the General Committee members from Friends United Meeting (FUM) and happy that as a member of the Nominating Committee she can encourage more members of FUM to get involved with FCNL.
Kathy first became involved with FCNL in 2006, as a worship leader at Annual Meeting, and the following year she joined the General Committee. At that first gathering she was struck by the dedication of the FCNL committee members and other supporters. Kathy sees these people as a tremendous resource on which FCNL can draw in times of challenge and opportunity. She was also impressed by the skill and enthusiasm displayed by "the amazing group of people" who make up the FCNL staff. Kathy believes that FCNL's work is effective because it uses these stores of talent to make direct contact with Congress easy. Kathy is involved with FCNL because the organization helps her live a life of consequence and make her concerns heard on Capitol Hill.
