Preserving U.S. Investments in War Prevention

When the House cut funding for a new State Department bureau on conflict prevention, slashed contributions to the U.N. and eliminated the Complex Crises Fund, FCNL took action. We organized 28 other groups to write the Senate to support funding for these small but vital programs to peacefully prevent deadly conflict. Our work paid off. In a vote in late May, the Senate Appropriations Committee fully funded the Complex Crises Fund, Conflict Stabilization Operations bureau, and U.S. contributions to the U.N.
