Obama’s Executive Order: Improve Indian Education!

Another important outcome of the conference was an executive order signed by Obama that launches “The White House Initiative on American Indian and Alaska Native Education.” Similar to the Native CLASS Act that has been moving through Congress, the initiative calls on federal agencies working with Native American tribes and programs to improve educational opportunities and strengthen tribal colleges and universities.
