AFL-CIO and Change to Win outline a framework for comprehensive immigration reform that will benefit all workers, regardless of immigration status.

By fully protecting workers' rights, comprehensive immigration reform will reduce the incentives for employers to hire undocumented workers who are then vulnerable to exploitation. AFL-CIO and Change to Win call for a labor standards enforcement initiative, coupled with a reasonable pathway to legal status and eventual citizenship for undocumented workers, in order to improve working conditions and fully integrate immigrant workers into the U.S. economy.
