Nov 19, 2009
Immigration Policy Center
The current economic recession has affected all U.S. communities, including communities with high concentrations of immigrants. The Immigration Policy Center explains why legalizing undocumented immigrants should be a key part of the solution for restoring the U.S. economy.Creating a reasonable pathway to legal status and eventual citizenship would permit undocumented immigrants to come out of the shadows and fully integrate into U.S. society. As full participants in society, immigrants can contribute greatly to the U.S. economy through wage gains, taxes, consumer spending, and job creation. PDF Version
