Rekindling Action on Climate Change

For more than a decade, Congress failed to pass legislation to address climate change. In 2012 FCNL worked to mobilize a coalition of Jewish, Evangelical and Catholic faith leaders to press congress to acknowledge that our government must act in 2013 to successfully address climate disruption. As first steps we worked with Rep. Jim Moran to introduction legislation (H.Res. 672) to acknowledge the problem and call for action and then began bringing climate experts such as Lester Brown together with faith leaders to brief Congress on the growing support for action.
