Will Your Senator Vote for Withdrawal?

Senator Jeff Merkley (OR) recently introduced an amendment in the Senate that would require President Obama to develop a plan for an expedited withdrawal of U.S. troops from Afghanistan.

We expect a vote on this amendment the week after Thanksgiving. Today and early next week are a key time for you to call your senator.

Please call your senator now to urge them to support the amendment to the National Defense Authorization Act. Here's what FCNL would like you to do:

* Urge the senator to support amendment No. 1257 to the National Defense Authorization Act offered by Senator Jeff Merkley (OR) that would require President Obama to develop a plan for the expedited withdrawal of U.S. troops from Afghanistan and report back to Congress within 90 days.
