Anthony Christopher-Smith is a member of Atlanta Friends Meeting, earned a Masters of Social Work in May, and has a keen interest in how the new administration and Congress can work toward a more peaceful and just world.
Anthony is also an active and enthusiastic participant in FCNL's Annual Meeting and Young Adult Lobby Weekend. In fact, at the Young Adult Lobby Day in 2006 his visit with a member of Representative William Lacy Clay's staff helped convince the Missouri congressman to support a cluster bomb ban. This experience solidified the respect Anthony has for FCNL and its methods. He appreciates the integrity with which FCNL approaches lobbying and its attempt to find a way forward by searching for common ground among people with whom we don't always agree. As Anthony puts it, "Everyone is talking about a turn to 'new politics.' FCNL has been practicing these 'new politics' for 65 years."
