A sustained campaign to prevent deadly conflict in Kenya
In December 2007, Kenya's disputed presidential election erupted into two months of brutal violence, leaving at least 1,000 dead and 350,000 people displaced. FCNL's Scoville Peace Fellow Cassidy Regan has been working with Quakers and non-governmental organization in Kenya and staff on Capitol Hill to help ensure a lasting peace in the region as elections approach in 2012.
