Deep Roots, Bold Action. This year‘s Annual Meeting theme celebrates that as we work to transform the world, we ourselves are also transformed: by Spirit, by our inner wisdom, and by each other.

Come inspire and be inspired with other advocates. Hear firsthand policy and advocacy updates from our staff experts. By joining knowledge and inspiration, we’ll hone our vision for FCNL’s work in the year ahead.

Meetings will take place on November 12-14, 2026 at Friends Meeting of Washington in Washington, DC and online.

When should I plan to be in D.C.?

Programming will begin at 11:00 am ET on Thursday, November 12 and will conclude at 5:00 pm ET on Saturday, November 14. We are still finalizing the specifics of year’s schedule, so check back soon for updates!

Worship Leader

Keith Runyan

Keith Runyan
(He/Him), General Secretary of Quaker Earthcare Witness

Keith is an activist, outdoor educator, speaker, and father. With a background in environmental education, Keith began his activist career with a 12-day hunger strike to awaken climate action in the Quaker Community and beyond. Since joining Quaker Earthcare Witness (QEW) in 2023, the organization has doubled its staff, programming, and revenue and is working to meet the challenges of our times and be “as bold as our times are urgent.” Keith is now spearheading QEW’s vision of building a Quaker environmental movement worthy of our times – inspiring courage, Spirit, and strategy alike.

Why Should I come to Annual Meeting?

  • Annual Meeting takes place one week after Election Day in the heart of the policy-making world. In past years this has been an important opportunity for our community to process the outcomes of elections and plan our next steps together.
  • You’ll be one of the first to know FCNL’s official legislative priorities that will guide our work for the next two years.
  • You’ll get to engage with FCNL’s lobbyists and organizers directly, ask questions about our issue areas, and learn about how your support empowers our staff.
  • Whether you’re reconnecting with old friends or meeting new ones, you’ll get to meet, worship with, and be in community amongst likeminded advocates and community members from all around the country.
  • Make the most of your time in Washington: there will be time set aside for you to go to the Hill for drop-by visits with Congressional offices!
