Tila Neguse
Legislative Associate, Domestic Issues
Tila comes to FCNL from St. Louis, MO, where, for 2 years, she worked as the executive director of the Peace Economy Project (PEP). PEP is a St. Louis non-profit established in 1977 that researches and educates about military spending, raises awareness about where our tax dollars are invested and calls for a reinvestment into our communities. While at PEP, Tila sought to build relationships with human needs and racial justice groups in order to incorporate a broader perspective on the issue of military spending. Tila was a member of several different coalition groups in St. Louis and served on the board of the St. Louis Instead of War Coalition.
At FCNL, Tila is a lobbyist on federal budget issues.
Tila is a poet and peace activist. She believes in a beautiful world free of oppression.
