M. Lena Garrettson
Program Assistant, Peaceful Prevention of Deadly Conflict
Lena is a Quaker with roots in both the U.S. and Germany. She graduated cum laude from Mount Holyoke College in 2010 with a major in international relations and a minor in religion. But both inside and outside of college, Lena enriched her education with an interest in the U.N., political activism and with experiences in national, state and local government bodies in Germany and the U.S.
After graduation, Lena did an internship with a representative at the German Bundestag in Berlin, where she was engaged in european and human rigths topics. Lena is now joining FCNL’s program on the Peaceful Prevention of Deadly Conflict where she will be working with Bridget Moix and Mary Stata.
