The FCNL Education Fund
The FCNL Education Fund informs members of the public and government leaders about issues that have long been of concern to Quakers and others, including war, the peaceful prevention of deadly conflict, conventional and nuclear arms control, the environment, federal budget priorities, and Native American issues. Its partner organization, the Friends Committee on National Legislation, a 501(c)4 organization, lobbies Congress in parallel on these issues and has achieved a number of legislative victories since its inception in 1943, including creation of the Peace Corps and adoption of the Code of Conduct on Arms Transfers. More recently, FCNL led lobbying efforts to stop new nuclear weapons and ratify the New START Treaty with Russia.
The FCNL Education Fund is governed by a board appointed by the Executive Committee of the Friends Committee on National Legislation. It is a 501(c)3 organization that exists in parallel with FCNL to support the research, analysis and education for which FCNL is known and respected. (Donations to the FCNL Education Fund are tax-deductible.) Thousands of individuals and organizations rely on the FCNL Education Fund for background information on policy issues and legislative details.
