Alicia McBride
Director of Communications
As FCNL's first Director of Communications, Alicia's daily work includes a mix of writing, editing, design, strategy, tech support, and data analysis. Since joining the organization in 2004, she has overseen the redesign and relaunch of FCNL’s website, helped to develop and implement a five-year strategic communications plan, and improved FCNL’s strategic use of email.
Alicia holds a masters degree in Technical Communication from the University of Washington in Seattle, where she designed an award-winning educational program to teach biology to engineering students and worked on several projects connecting political action, nonprofits, and technology. She received her undergraduate degree in English from Carleton College in 2000. She lives in Washington, DC with her husband and daughter.
